These are the rules for using Coachly ("the App"). By downloading, installing, or using Coachly you're agreeing to them. If you don't agree, delete the app.
Coachly is operated by Kevin McEnaney ("we", "us", "Coachly"). Contact: support@getcoachly.fit.
Coachly is a fitness, nutrition, and training app. It helps you plan workouts, log sets and meals, track progress, and chat with an AI coach for programming and nutrition advice.
Coachly is not medical advice. The AI coach, the disclaimers, and this agreement all say the same thing in different ways: the app is not a substitute for a doctor, physiotherapist, dietitian, or mental-health professional. If something about your body concerns you, see a qualified professional.
You are solely responsible for how you use any advice the app gives. Train at your own risk.
You must be 18 or older to use Coachly. If you're under 18, don't create an account and don't use the app.
If we discover you're under 18, we'll delete your account.
If you create an account:
We can suspend or terminate your account if you violate these Terms, abuse the Service (see section 5), or if we're legally required to.
Some features may require a subscription paid through the Apple App Store.
Your $0.50/month AI coach budget (if enabled) is an internal cost cap, not a subscription. It resets automatically per day and per month.
You agree NOT to:
If you violate these, we can suspend or terminate your access immediately.
Your workout logs, nutrition entries, coach messages, profile data — all that is yours. We don't claim ownership. Licensing it back to us is only what's minimally needed to provide the Service:
You grant us a worldwide, royalty-free, non-exclusive licence to host, process, transmit, and display your content solely to provide the Service to you.
You can revoke this licence by deleting your account — we'll wipe the synced copy.
The Coachly app, its branding, its engine logic, its written copy, the AI coach's persona, and all other content we publish is owned by us. You can use it for your personal fitness. You cannot republish, fork the branding, or build a competing product from it.
Exercise images + instructions surfaced in-app come from third-party open databases (free-exercise-db, wger); they're used under their respective licences (CC-BY-SA 3.0 / CC-BY-SA 4.0) with attribution in the Profile → Media sources card.
The AI coach ("Coachly Coach") uses Anthropic's Claude model. A few things you should know:
We try to keep the Service available. We don't promise it will always be up, free of bugs, or available in your country.
We can change, suspend, or discontinue any feature with reasonable notice. If we discontinue the entire Service while you have an active subscription, we'll refund the unused portion.
The Service is provided "as is". We disclaim all warranties that the law allows us to — express, implied, statutory, of fitness for a particular purpose, of merchantability, non-infringement, and of uninterrupted or error-free operation.
To the maximum extent the law allows, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of profits, revenue, data, or goodwill — even if we were told the damages were possible.
Our total liability for any claim is limited to:
You are responsible for your own safety when training. Before starting any new exercise programme, check with a doctor. If you feel pain, stop. Coachly is a tool, not a trainer — you hold the risk of how you use it.
Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for:
You agree to indemnify and hold us harmless from any third-party claim that arises from:
You can delete your account at any time from Profile → Account → Delete account, or by uninstalling the app.
We can terminate your access immediately if:
Sections that by their nature survive termination — intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability, governing law — continue to apply.
If we change these Terms materially, we'll:
If you keep using the app after a material change, you're agreeing to the new version. If you don't like the change, stop using the app and delete your account.
These Terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales.
Any dispute arising under them is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales — except you may, if a consumer, bring a claim in the courts of the EU / UK country where you live.
For disputes worth £10,000 or less, we prefer to resolve them informally — email support@getcoachly.fit before you escalate and we'll do our best to sort it in 30 days.
